Cosmic Climate Change 2 - From Big to Gigantc to Joy - part 2

- 1 - We do have the capability at hand to avoid future disasters
- 2 - While the large earthquakes are enormously destructive
- 3 - Large flooding events are worse than the earthquakes
- 4 - In many cases the tragedy is built into the terrain itself
- 5 - Continent-wide flash floods didn't yet exist in 1926
- 6 - More readily apparent by the nature of flash floods
- 7 - Flash-floods events are necessarily short-lived
- 8 - Modern torrential rainfalls are typically short in duration
- 9 - In the northern USA, the Great Vermont Flood occurred
- 10 - Continent-wide flash floods were likely not possible in 1927
- 11 - The cosmic rays Ionize elements in the atmosphere
- 12 - That's an effect that we are only seeing the beginning of
- 13 - The potential for horrific flooding is built into the terrain
- 14 - Geography that enables epic floods exists in Mesopotamia
- 15 - When the epic flooding stage is reached the big epic flooding events are not upon us yet
- 16 - The kind of geography exists similarly in almost all of the big river basins
- 17 - The message is that large-scale agriculture need to be relocated
- 18 - Large river basins have provided the food security
- 19 - In the Russian heartland, the Volga River basin is a natural flood bowl
- 20 - The Caspian Sea is unique in that it has no outflow
- 21 - When the 'epic' era begins
- 22 - What happens when the vast Volga basin gets flooded
- 23 - Europe has the same epic flooding potential
- 24 - We haven't seen anything yet in terms of large flooding events
- 25 - We live with a 100 feet of water over our head
- 26 - World development will never be happening. But is this true?
- 27 - Expedient to locate cities at the banks of rivers
- 28 - The solar system is in a free-fall collapse, as it were
- 29 - China has the potential to become a world leader
- 30 - is extremely unlikely that Russia and Europe, like Canada, can be motivated
- 31 - The same, however, cannot be said about places like China
- 32 - A shallow bowl surrounded by mountains, with major rivers flowing into it
- 33 - China's huge August 1931 flood event in the Yangtze River basin
- 34 - Three Gorges Dam project was created in the wake of disasters
- 35 - Upstream catchment basin, a million square kilometers in size
- 36 - The 2010 China floods began in early May 2010
- 37 - By the time the 2010 flooding had ended
- 38 - Before the big 2010 Flood the Pearl River region had a severe drought
- 39 - Lesser floods were experienced
- 40 - In 2016 another big flood happened in China
- 41 - Below the Three Gorges Dam Ultimately no effective defensive measures are possible
- 42 - The aftermath could be seen from space after the storms had cleared
- 43 - Flood prevention appears to be especially difficult for the Yellow River
- 44 - The Yellow River is nearly twice as long as the Colorado River
- 45 - The Yellow River had cut across the course of the Huai River
- 46 - In 1887 the Yellow River had breached the then rather primitive dikes
- 47 - The latest series of mega floods in China
- 48 - Effects now of the multiple interrelated astrophysical weakening
- 49 - The early big 1931 flood disaster in China
- 50 - Effect of cosmic-ray flux on the cloud-forming increases in cyclone storms
- 51 - The storm-clouds can grow enormously rapidly
- 52 - Cloud nucleation releases the latent heat
- 53 - One hears much talk about the Al-Nino oscillations
- 54 - Always lead us back to the big factor, the cosmic-ray factor
- 55 - In 2012 the flooding zone had reached Beijing
- 56 - We have seen tornados increasing in the USA
- 57 -
- 58 - 016 was a lesser big year
- 59 - The 2016 tornado season that was expected to be lean
- 60 - The general weakening of the Sun is further modulated
- 61 - Together with the 2016 tornadoes, we saw increasing floods
- 62 - How much become lost to increasing flood damages?
- 63 - The city of Chongqing in China, a city of over 30 million people
- 64 - Chongqing is located upstream of the Three Gorges Dam
- 65 - Five major rivers are flowing together into this flood bowl
- 66 - That this region is a flood bowl is evident
- 67 - The narrow gorge becomes a choke point
- 68 - How does one evacuate a city of 30 million
- 69 - We are looking at a terrible writing on the wall here
- 70 - The Earth's atmosphere holds large volumes of water
- 71 - With the big Cosmic Climate change that has begun
- 72 - The Yangtze River has the same flooding potential
- 73 - China has a number of dramatically large flood-bowl systems
- 74 - In India the great Ganges River
- 75 - The Ganges River drains roughly a million square-kilometers
- 76 - Bangladesh is likewise affected by evermore flooding
- 77 - During the 1998 flood, over 70% of the land was inundated
- 78 - In the 2004 flood 25% of the population of Bangladesh was affected
- 79 - The USA is vulnerable to loosing its food supply
- 80 - No major flooding was indicated for the Maunder Minimum period
- 81 - The end of the 1600s gave us the largest cosmic-ray flux
- 82 - If this was the final 'writing on the wall'
- 83 - But why should we worry?
- 84 - Neither is it possible to determine how much larger cosmic-ray flux may be
- 85 - The solution is simple
- 86 - While New Orleans has been rebuilt
- 87 - The line-up of people will be endless
- 88 - The costs of dealing with flood damages
- 89 - The big changes are actually located in the near future
