Black Holes Under the Stars -  video Part 1, by Rolf A. F. Witzsche

The Mystery of Orbiting Stars

 Solved by Johannes Kepler

Dreaming is wonderful,

but when people attempt to apply Kepler's laws to the observed motions of the stars in the galaxy, in terms of the stars orbiting the galactic center, the evidence doesn't match Kepler's laws. The evidence is far off, because gravity-bound orbital laws don't apply on the galactic scale. People get stuck with this paradox, and fall back to dreaming where nothing ever gets resolved.
